What We Believe

Function Before Form

Solve the problem first. Perfect it later. If it functions, it doesn't matter how it looks.

Start Anyway

Choose reinvention over resignation. Reinvention has NO expiration date. Not until your final expiration date (which is coming for us all).

Stay Curious

Choose curiosity over certainty. The world is full of remarkable people and places. Seek them out.

Keep Learning

Choose clarity over complexity. Every new skill becomes part of the next version of you. The day you believe you've arrived is the day you stop growing.

Own Less, Experience More

Choose experience over possessions. Freedom comes from mobility, not accumulation. Possessions weigh you down, experiences can lift you up.

Leave Things Better

From my time in the Boy Scouts. Leave every dojo, campsite, conversation, and friendship better than you found it. Your legacy will be measured by what you gave away, not what you accumulated.

Reject Comfort as a Compass

Choose to sit in your discomfort. If comfort becomes the only thing you pursue, your world becomes smaller every year. Growth usually begins where certainty ends.

Build Your Craft (and Respect the Nuance)

Learn the rules. Practice them. Understand why they work. Then spend enough time at your craft to discover where they don't work.

Expertise lives in those distinctions. The more you learn, the fewer things become absolute. Context matters. Details matter.

Craftsmanship is the pursuit of those details. Humility is knowing you'll never find all of them. Get comfortable not knowing all the answers, then keep working at them.
